Un nuovo libro: Expert Oracle Application Express

Da alcuni giorni si può acquistare anche in Italia “Expert Oracle Application Express”, un nuovo libro che parla di Apex.

Questo è un libro speciale. E’ nato da un’idea di John Scott, è stato scritto da lui e da altri 12 autori (un autore per capitolo) ed è dedicato alla memoria di due persone che molto hanno dato alla community di Apex: Carl Backstrom e Scott Spadafore.

I proventi degli autori andranno a due fondi accesi per supportare le famiglie di Carl e Scott.

tryapexnow.com e le email / tryapexnow.com and email

Se vi siete registrati su tryapexnow.com per provare Apex 4.1 e non vi è ancora arrivata risposta quasi sicuramente il vostro ISP vi ha bloccato la mail di conferma come spam (come è successo a noi).

May  9 11:54:01 in-6 postfix/smtpd[8518]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from ec2-50-19-121-5.compute-1.amazonaws.com[50.19.121.5]: 554 5.7.1 <domU-12-31-38-00-95-12.compute-1.internal>: Helo command rejected: generic HELO hostname - please contact postmaster@xxxx.it; from=<oracle-application-express_ww@oracle.com> to=<g.trento@betasoftware.it> proto=ESMTP helo=<domU-12-31-38-00-95-12.compute-1.internal>

Il problema non è dei server Oracle ma di quelli di Amazon dove si trova tryapexnow.com. Il nostro ISP ha quindi messo oracle.com in whitelist e ora le mail arrivano.

The problem is not the Oracle server but those of Amazon where tryapexnow.com is hosted. Our ISP has therefore put oracle.com in whitelist and now the mail arrives.

Application Express 4.1 Early Adopter 1

Questa mattina ho cliccato il link di Apexblogs.info (cosa che faccio quasi tutti i giorni) per leggere gli ultimi post usciti su Apex e ho trovato una notizia che aspettavo da un pò.
E’ arrivata la prima EA di Application Express 4.1.
